Deploy, modernize, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server on AWS

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to the migration and modernization journey for the SQL Server workloads. In this session, learn about various options to run Microsoft SQL Server on AWS. We share options to lift and shift with Amazon EC2, managed experience with Amazon RDS and Amazon RDS Custom, and modernize with AWS purpose-built databases. We explain the benefits of each approach and cover different architectural patterns, strategies and best practices to migrate, optimize and modernize SQL Server workload on AWS. The session also showcases a demo on Babelfish for Aurora PostgreSQL, the new capability for Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL-Compatible Edition that enables Aurora to understand commands from applications written for Microsoft SQL Server.
