Transactions are essential to maintaining data consistency in modern applications. When using the microservices architecture pattern, each service will have its own data store, which makes managing data consistency more challenging than a monolithic architecture. In this session, we introduce you to the saga pattern, a common and powerful approach to managing transactions across multiple services. We show you how to use AWS Step Functions to implement the saga orchestration pattern to build data-consistent workflows with microservices.
